一名女子聲線無端沙啞，經檢查後發現喉嚨出現大範圍感染，喉嚨被結核菌腫塊堵塞，情況岌岌可危。有專科醫生指，結核菌除了入侵肺部，亦可侵襲喉嚨，患者應及早求醫，否則影響治療。本報記者醫管局數字顯示，每年有五六千人受結核菌感染，大部份是肺結核病(即肺癆)，但仍有小部份屬喉嚨結核。

二十多歲的盧小姐從事服務行業，由於工作性質，經常要和客人交談，去年初，她發現聲線變得沙啞，經轉介後，發現喉嚨被結核菌感染及腫塊堵塞，引起呼吸困難，確診後接受抗結核菌藥的藥物，病情已經改善。

抵抗力差易感染

耳鼻喉科專科林建業醫生(見圖)指，喉嚨結核病患者多為抵抗力差的人，包括HIV帶病毒者等，結核菌由痰涎感染喉嚨與聲帶部位，當感染喉嚨，初期病徵不明顯，多數患者只是聲音較平日沙啞，沒有進一步求醫。
